Paper Shoes

Handwoven and tatted paper yarn mounted on shoe lasts.
Picture

White Lace

Inspired by lace and open structure, these white pieces are rich in surface pattern and texture.

Handwoven in wool, egyptian cotton and ribbon.

Leno Ribbons

A double cloth spaced warp inspired by the geometry of doors.

Handwoven in silk and wool, with all colour achieved using natural dyes.

Woven Shibori

The Japanese art of Shibori dyeing can be tweaked for weavers.

Handwoven in wool/silk yarn, gathered tightly and dyed with natural dyes.

Night Lights

Exploring a bolder palette and distorted weft, this warp was inspired by (amongst other things) a multi-storey car park in Nottingham, UK.

Handwoven in cotton and viscose.

Make Up

The first warp I ever wove, experimenting with soft colour blends inspired by make up.

Handwoven in a variety of yarns.
